Retail clinics and urgent care

Retail clinics and urgent care centers give quality care in many emergencies. These providers are:

  • Convenient: Most open early, close late, and have weekend hours
  • Quick: You don’t need an appointment, and it takes less time than an emergency room (ER).
  • Staffed by trained professionals.

Urgent care centers and retail clinics can help with many problems that are not life-threatening:

  • Animal bites
  • Broken bones
  • Cuts that require stitches
  • Earaches and sinus pain
  • High fevers and flu
  • Minor burns
  • Rashes and skin problems
  • Sports injuries

Emergency Room

Dial 911 or get to your nearest emergency room if you have a sudden, serious problem that:

  • Demands immediate attention
  • Is a threat to your life or limb

Some examples include:

  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Stroke

If you go to the ER, please:

  • Call us at 800-611-1467 TTY: 711 after you are discharged
  • Tell your doctor about your ER visit
